PCD Sweden is a nationwide association supporting those affected by Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD). The association is run, on a non-profit basis, by volunteers with lived experience of PCD. Our aim is to improve living conditions for those affected by PCD. We do this by:
- increasing knowledge and awareness about PCD and the functional impairments caused by PCD,
- influencing decision-makers so that those affected by PCD receive the care, support and service to which they are entitled and need,
- building relationships and collaborating with institutions and organizations of importance for PCD (nationally and internationally),
- enabling togetherness and fellowship between our members, and providing opportunities for mutual support,
- operating in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
